I’m Brittany and this is ME. I’m a health nerd with a sarcastic sense of humor, a smiling/laughter problem, and a niche in the kitchen. I have a passion for fitness and cooking because together they changed my outlook on life. Live for the moment and do what you love: that’s what’s important. I kick a** in Pilates/Barre and the kitchen because it’s what makes me happy, it’s what I’m good at, and I LOVE it.
I was never the type that was going to settle for a 9-5, it’s just not how I imagined my life. I enjoyed freedom too much and there was something in my nature that was drawn to helping people. Still, I graduated college with an Advertising degree and interviewed for a few corporate jobs but (thankfully) I was never hired. Back then, this was discouraging, as I was a college graduate and still a bartender who attended fitness classes in her free time. At the right time, the universe shouted to me “YOU NEED TO FIGURE YOUR SH*T OUT!” I was forced to sit down and figure out what made me happy. The final answer: working out, cooking, and making a difference for others.
From years of waitressing, I already had the outgoing personality and in general, never had a problem being the center of attention so all I needed was the instructor certification. Right around the same time, my itch for healthy cooking was born and I started blogging all of my recipes and kitchen adventures. Now, here I am. Through telling my story, teaching Pilates/Barre, and sharing my recipes, I hope to inspire others. Life is too short not to be happy, all I want is to share that happiness with others.
